Shitaye Eshete

Shitaye Eshete (born 21 May 1990) is a Bahraini long-distance runner of Ethiopian origin.

In 2010 she was eleventh at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, sixth in the 5000m at the IAAF Continental Cup in Split and won bronze in the 10,000 m at the Asian Games in Guangzhou.

2011 was followed by a twelfth place finish at the World Cross Country Championships in Punta Umbria, a sixth place in the 10,000 m at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu.

The following year, Eshete was fifth over 3000 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul. At the Olympic Games in London, she finished sixth in the 10,000 meters.
