Shooting Stars SC

The Shooting Stars Football Club is a Nigerian football team from Ibadan. The home games are played at the Lekan Salami Stadium. The team was a long time to the internationally successful clubs in the country, however, rose in 2006 from the Nigerian Premier League and played from 2009 in the second division. In the 2009/10 season they reached the 11th place in the Nigerian Premier League.

Under the name WNDC Ibadan ( WNDC = Western Nigeria Development Company ) was the Team 1972 Founding member of the Nigerian Premier League. Together with the Enugu Rangers dominated the club in the 1970s and 80s, the Nigerian football. International club won the 1976 African Cup Winners' Cup in 1992 and was winner of the first edition of the CAF Cup.
