Shoreline is a city in the northwest of King County in Washington state. It is located 24 km north of Downtown Seattle, the largest city in Washington and also belongs to the metropolitan area of ​​Seattle.

History

The current urban area of Shoreline was settled in 1890. 1906, the village was connected by an overland tram with the cities of Seattle and Everett. The population grew rapidly through the access to the Great Northern Railway.

In 1995, the city officially received its town charter.

Geography

In the north, the city borders the neighboring Snohomish County, on the east by Lake Washington, south to Seattle and to the east by Puget Sound.
