Skellefteå FF

Skellefteå Förenade Fotbollsföreningar is a Swedish football club from Skellefteå. The club is the former football section of the Skellefteå AIK, who played for several years second-rate.

History

End of the 1910s was based in Skelleftea Skelleftea of the IF. Since younger players hardly got to use at the club, they founded in 1921 as a local club competition Skellefteå AIK, said at the time successful Stockholm club AIK was used as a namesake.

First, the football team Skellefteå AIK played only unterklassig, 1952 for the first time succeeded in rising into the third-class Division 3 Norra Norrländska. She was runner-up behind Lycksele IF and the two clubs got out first team from Norrland to the second division after the whole of Sweden was admitted into the top league levels of the Swedish league pyramid for the first time. Here the team quickly established and 1957 separated only the worse for three goals goal difference compared to the same point scale winning GIF Sundsvall from relegation place to Allsvenskan. A year later succeeded the season victory, but the team failed to Hammarby IF after a 0-0 draw on home ground by a 2:6 away defeat. In the following years, the club still placed in the front, but without being able to build on the successes.

In the fall of 1964, the team of local rivals Skellefteå IF and Skellefteå AIK joined together. However, the merged team only reach six wins this season, so they had to play together with local rivals SK Sunnanå the transition to the third division. Without losing the club managed in the following season to season victory in Division 3 Norra Norrland Nedra and returned to a 1-1 draw and a 2-0 win against Storfors AIK in the second division. There, the team placed first of all in the back of the midfield, before 1972 only seven points were taken and again the descent had to be accepted. Again, succeeded the season victory and after wins over IFK Östersund and IF Friska Viljor in the promotion round the Elf returned along with Gefle IF in the second division. This time the return was not crowned with success, and together with Degerfors IF and AIK Älvsjö the team got off again.

The football team of Skellefteå AIK missed the direct resurgence. In the following years she sat firmly in the front, without being able to compete for first ascent. In the early 1980s the elf came forward again back in the promotion race. 1981 were missing three points of leaders Gammelstads IF, a year later, the team was one point behind runner-up behind the same club. 1983 ultimately succeeded in season victory that was crowned by two victories against Hovås IF in the promotion round with the return to the second division. After re- direct descent succeeded in re- season victory and, once the team against Jonsered IF prevailed to rise again. After three seasons in Abstiegskamopf the team rose again from 1988 from the second division.

In the following years, Skellefteå AIK established in the third division. In 1993 they had behind the defeat lots Kiruna FF the runner-up in the promotion round failed the team after two defeats at Myresjö IF. Four years later after qualifying for the rise of games, this time proved Lira Luleå BK too strong.

At the turn of the millennium, the football department, has served as Skellefteå AIK FK from the main club. The team held initially in the third division, even if she found herself in a relegation battle. 2004 had to first descend into the Viertklassigkeit since the early 1950s, the team on the side of Luleå SK. In Division 3 Norra Norrland, the team was winning season due to a league reform it remained, however, the re-emergence denied and she came into the new fourth-rate Division 2 Norrland.

Before the start of the 2006 it was renamed in Skellefteå FF, when the project a strong football team was initiated in Skellefteå with Sunnanå SK and BK Morön. Subsequently, the team played with the front, before IFK Luleå in 2008 succeeded the season victory and the return to the third tier. There, however, she had no chance with three wins this season and got a table last together with Mitaufsteiger Karlslunds IF and Enköpings SK directly again.
