Skoronice

Skoronice ( German Kunewald, formerly Skoronitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers southeast of Kyjov and belongs to Okres Hodonín.

Geography

Skoronice is on the left side of the river Hruškovice at the southern foot of the hill country Kyjovská pahorkatina in Dolnomoravský úval ( Southern March basin). To the north rises the U Svatého Rocha ( Rochusberg, 256 m) and Kopec in the west of Liščí (210 m). To the south is the lake Milotičky rybnik, southwest Milotice the castle. North of the village leads the railway line Kyjov - Veseli nad Moravou past, the next station is Vlkoš.

Neighboring towns are Kostelec in the north, Vlkoš in the northeast, Vracov in the east, in the southeast Vacenovice, Milotice in the south, Mistřín the southwest, Svatobořice in the west and Kyjov in the North West.

History

The first written mention of Skoronice took place in 1322 in a charter of King John. 1351 acquired Czenko Bechina of the village. 1359 wrote Janusch of Bechina Skoronice as a wedding gift to his wife Hisla of Ossow. 20 years later, the widow sold the village to Bolka von Sternberg, the three hooves of Skoronice the Olomouc Monastery of St.. Clare left. Johann von Sternberg gave in 1392 to the monastery of St.. Klara four and a half hooves and the Monastery of St.. Anna in Brno eight and a half feet. In the 15th century acquired the Lords of Krawarn Skoronice and closed the village to their rule Milotice. After the death of George Krawarns Skorotice fell along with Milotice 1479 his daughters Ludmilla, Cunegonde, Elsbeth and Johanna, who sold it the following year to George, Alexander, John and Tas of Oynitz. 1490 joined Elsbeth Oynitz of the corresponding half of her reign Milotice with the villages Skoronice and Stavěšice to her brother Niklas von Zástřizl from, who took over in 1493 and the other half by his wife Anna of Oynitz. 1560 sold the Zástřizl Milotice with all accessories to the brothers Friedrich, Bartholomew, and Johann Dietrich von Zierotin. At the beginning of the 17th century the village consisted of 27 properties. In the second campaign of insurgent Transylvanian Prince Gábor Bethlen Skoronice was destroyed in 1623 and remained desolate. Gabriel Graf Serényi, which in 1648 bought the rule Milotice let 1652 populate the village. The new residents were German from his North Moravian rule Kunewald. The village formed a German -speaking enclave in Moravian Slovakia, was spoken in the dialect Kuhländler. In 1834 lived 340 people in the 65 houses of the village. Until the mid-19th century Kunewald remained subservient always Milotice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kunewald / Skoronice formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Gaya. After the abolition of Okres Kyjov Skoronice in 1960 associated with the Okres Hodonín. Between 1980 and 1990 Skoronice was incorporated to Vlkoš. In 2000 the village was winner in the national competition Vesnice roku ( Village of the Year ). In Skoronice the tradition of King Ritts ( Jízda Kralu ) is maintained every year at Pentecost. North of the village there are extensive vineyards that reach Kyjov.

  • Heritage Museum Slovácká jizba in farmstead No. 29 in the 1998 restored the oldest house of the village is the local library.
