Søndre Nordstrand

Sondre North beach is a district of the Norwegian capital Oslo, with 34,980 inhabitants ( 2008) and an area of 18.4 km ².

The district houses the satellite towns Bjørndal Mortensrud and Holmlia to continue the suburban settlements Hauketo and Prinsdal. The logo of the neighborhood, a stone bridge Ljabru, located at Hauketokreuz and symbolizes the desire to create a bridge between cultures in the district. The proportion of foreigners in the district is about 39.1 %.
