Snihurivka

Snihuriwka (Ukrainian Снігурівка; Russian Снигирёвка / Snigirjowka ) is a city in the east of Mykolaiv Oblast in Ukraine. It is located about 62 kilometers east of the Oblasthauptstadt Mykolaiv on the right bank of the Inhulez and has 13,454 inhabitants.

The town was founded in 1812 by settlers from the Mogilev province, the name was chosen by one of the places of origin of the settlers. During the Second World War occurred in March 1944 in the area of ​​the resort during the Beresnegowatoje - Snigirjower operation, heavy fighting.
