Sogndal Fotball

The Sogndal Fotball is a Norwegian football club from the city Sogndalsfjøra the municipality Sogndal in Sogn og Fjordane Fylke. Currently playing in the highest Norwegian league, Tippeligaen. Homestead is the Fosshaugane campus with a capacity of about 5,400 seats. The colors of the club are white-black- yellow.

History

The club was founded on 19 February 1926, the name Idrettslag Sogndal, Sogndal IL shortly. The first decades after the foundation of the association were normal in the lowlands of the Norwegian amateur football before one 1964 first ascent managed in the third Norwegian league.

In 1976 they managed just 50-year club anniversary promotion to the second Norwegian league. In the same year the largely unknown team succeeded with the achievement of the Norwegian Cup final a sensation. Stadium

The club plays its home matches at the Fosshaugane campus. The pure football stadium has a capacity of about 5400 spectators. Of these 4000 seats.
