Clara Schumann's great love is an American feature film from 1947, he deals with the life of the pianist Clara Schumann ( née Wieck ). ; as a literary model was the play Song of Love by Mario Silva and Bernard Schubert.

Action
After the young pianist Clara Wieck has successfully listed the First Piano Concerto of Franz Liszt, they are against the will of her father Friedrich Wieck, the piece reverie of the then-unknown composer Robert Schumann, Wieck's long-time student, as an encore, and snubbed her father with the message, that she and Robert are getting married. This keeps Robert Schumann unsuitable as a husband of his daughter and brought to a court process, but victoriously ends under Liszt's influence for the young couple.
Some years later, the couple gets, the now more children were born, a visit from the young musician Johannes Brahms, who wants to study in Schumann. Brahms draws Roberts as a student at the Schumann and helps in financial management.
Over time, the couple Schumann is struggling with various concerns: When Robert is tinnitus questions and repeated headaches one. First, Dr. Hoffman diagnosed revision and recommends recovery, but soon to suspect that Schumann, the outbreak of a familial nervous suffering could announce. At Roberts health problems are joined by financial worries that tries Robert to the composition of his new work to solve Scenes from Goethe's Faust.
