Sophie Duarte

Sophie Duarte (born 31 July 1981 in Rodez) is a French obstacle, long-distance and cross runner.

At the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka, it was over 3000 m steeplechase Fifth. In 2008, she retired at the Olympic Games in Beijing in this discipline from the inlet port. In the European Cross Country Championships in Brussels, she came to 15th place and won the team bronze.

A 15th place over 3000 m steeplechase at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin was followed by a seventh at the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona.

In the Cross Country Championships in Velenje 2011 and 2012 in Szentendre they were each sixth; in Szentendre she took also silver with the team.

2013, it came at the World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, ranked 16 and was eliminated in the World Cup in Moscow about 5000 m from the preliminary round. My biggest success you came in December, when she won the title at the Cross Country Championships in Belgrade and again won silver in the team.

So far it has been four times French champion in the 3000 m steeplechase ( 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 ) and once in the 5000m ( 2013).
