Spineshank is an American Nu-Metal/Alternative-Metal-Band.

Band History

Spineshank was formed in February 1996. Originally the vocalist Jonny Santos, guitarist Mike Sarkisyan and Tom Decker on drums were part of the group " Basic Enigma". This was strongly influenced by Demanufacture album, which was released in 1995 by Fear Factory and can thus be regarded as a trigger of the founding Spine Hanks. Later, the bassist Robert Garcia completed the newly formed band. The band soon found guitarist Dino Cazares of contact for Fear Factory, immediately after he had heard the demo tape, offered them to perform as the opening act of Fear Factory at the Whiskey A - Go-Go in Los Angeles. This led to other gigs with bands like Coal Chamber, Snot, Soulfly, Sepultura and Danzig.

Spineshank got a deal with Roadrunner Records. Her first studio album Strictly Diesel was released in September 1998, in which Burton C. Bell, lead singer of Fear Factory, on the track Stain sings. Height of Callousness was produced two years later. It took all of three years to Spineshank Self -Destructive their last album Pattern published. Later, Jonny Santos left the band and the remaining members then searched for a new singer, which was according to the official announcement of 7 November 2005 with Brandon Espinoza found. In September 2008, the band officially announced their reunion with former vocalist Jonny Santos. Since they work on the successor to Self -Destructive Pattern. Already Shortly after announcing the reunion follows the first audition to the new piece Born Conform Repent. This is however only a demo recording.

Between 2009 and 2011, Spineshank played some concerts in America and released three studio videos on their MySpace page, where you get an insight into the studio recordings. Meanwhile, Johnny Santos also showed with his second band, Silent Civilian, which also gave a few concerts and mid-2010, released a second studio album. In the spring of 2011, Spineshank reported back and told the publication of a new album. You still looking only for a recording company that published the already finished produced album. The new album is titled Anger Denial Acceptance. End of 2011, the first two songs and the tracklist has been published. The titles of the songs are Anger Denial Acceptance Murder and Suicide. On June 15, 2012 Anger Denial Acceptance has been published in Germany.
