Stanka Slatewa Christowa began as a teenager in 1997 in Kyustendil Sports Club with the rings. Later moved to the Sport Club Levski Sofia. My first coach was Demir Demirew. More trainer, which it has a lot to thank are or were Valeri Raitschew, Ognan Raitschew and Simeon Schterew. She is a stocky, only 1.63 meters tall wrestler who impressed with an excellent technique, especially by their strength and speed. Their great success it achieved in all of the heaviest the women's wrestling weight class, namely to 72 kg body weight.

Your first start in an international championship she graduated in 1999. Took you here at the Junior European Championships in Budapest in the weight class up to 63 kg the 7th Place. Winner of this championship was Anita Schätzle from Germany. Anita Schätzle was in the following years, then one of the main competitors of Stanka Slatewa Christowa in international championships. By 2005 Stanka Slatewa Christowa failed again and again to this wrestler, until 2006, she was able to defeat them.

Your first medal at an international championship won Stanka Slatewa Christowa at the Junior European Championships for cadets age group ( under 16 years ) in Lodz. Here she was in the weight class up to 65 kg behind Jelena Perepelkina from Russia second winner. More medals at junior level, she won in 2000 with a 2nd place at the Junior European Championship ( Cadets ) in Bratislava, with the 1st place at the Junior Europemsiterschaft 2002 in Tirana in the weight class up to 68 kg, and with the 2nd place at the Junior world Championship 2003 in Istanbul in the weight class up to 72 kg body weight, where they lost the final of the Chinese Yanfang Li.

In 2001 she started as Achtzehnhjährige first time at an international championship in the women. However, they had to present at the European Championships in Budapest in the weight category up to 68kg pay even belonging teaching money because they lost their two fights against Lise Golliot - Legrand from France and against Lotta Andersson from Sweden and only reached the 11th and last place. At the World Championships this year in Sofia, she was defeated in the same weight class against Anita Schätzle, but then celebrated in the fight against Norie Saito from Japan their first victory in the women's area. So you finished 7th.

In the next few years, she then reached always better rankings in international championships. At the European Championships in 2002 she came in the weight class up to 67 kg, after the defeat in the semi-final against Anita Schätzle to 5th place. In the 2003 European Championship in Riga, she came in the weight class up to 72 kg, after a defeat by Anita Schätzle to 4th place, finishing at the World Championship 2003 in New York after a defeat against the multiple Japanese world champion Kyoko Hamaguchi the same place.

Another Niederlag they then suffered at the European Championships 2012 in Belgrade against the young Russian girl Natalya Worobjewa. Since these missed the final, Stanka Slatewa Christowa was in the repechage not wrestle and finished only 18th place. That was the worst position they ever achieved in an international championship.
