Stará Ves (Přerov District)

Stara Ves ( German Altendorf, 1939-1945 Age village) is a village in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north-west of Holešov and belongs to Okres Přerov.

Geography

Stara Ves is located at the western foot of the Podbeskydská pahorkatina ( Vorbeskidenhügelland ) in the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). The village lies in the source basin of the creek Rumza. To the north rises the Robotňa ( 283 m), in the northeast of Holý Kopec (360 m) and east of the Hrad ( 363 m). Two kilometers west of the highway D runs first

Neighboring towns are Dobrčice and Beňov in the north, Marianín, Líšná and Karlovice in the northwest, Pacetluky in the West, Kostelec u Holešova the southwest, Němčice in the south, Břest and Žalkovice the southwest, Říkovice in the west and Vlkoš, Věžky and Přestavlky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was in 1261, when Ottokar II donated the property to the Olomouc Bishop Bruno of castle for his faithful services. After his death, this part made ​​a fief of the Bishopric of Olomouc. Until the mid- 19th century, the place always the episcopal estates Kroměříž remained submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stara Ves / Altendorf formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Kremsier. Since 1880, the church belongs to the district Prerau.
