Steve Bégin

Steve Bégin ( born June 14, 1978 in Trois- Rivières, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Steve Bégin began his career as a hockey player in the Val- d'Or Foreurs, for he held until 1998 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League was active from 1995 and with which he won the Coupe du Président 1998.

During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1996 in the second round than a total of 40 players from the Calgary Flames, for he 1997/98, made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League at the end of the season. With Calgary's farm team, the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League, Bégin won the Calder Cup and was awarded the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as most valuable player of the playoffs in the 2000 /01 season.
