Steve Lundquist

Stephen "Steve" Lundquist ( born February 20, 1961 in Atlanta ) is a retired American swimmer.

His athletic achievements were the two Olympic medals at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. He won the gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke and the 4 × 100 m medley relay. Four years earlier he had missed the Olympics because of the boycott of the Olympic USA.

In 1990 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 he was among the former athletes who carried the Olympic flag at the opening ceremony.
