Adrian Moorhouse

Adrian David Moorhouse ( born May 24, 1964 in Bradford) is a former British swimmer.

He was in the 1980s and at the beginning of the 1990s the world's best swimmers on the situation chest. In 1990 he was voted European Swimmer of the Year. In 1989 he received the MBE for his achievements.

Overall, he was able to win the 100m and 200m breaststroke four times European champion. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, he was Olympic champion in the 100 m breaststroke. After he finished four years later at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona only eighth place in the final of the 100 m breaststroke, he finished his career.

After his career as a swimmer Moorhouse was among other things a commentator for the BBC. In 1999 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
