Štós

Štós ( until 1927 slovak " Štós " - 1927-1973 Slovak " Štos "; German shock / shock or older Stoos, Hungarian Stosz ) is a municipality and health resort in eastern Slovakia. It is located in the mountains Volovské Hills, about 8 km from Medzev and 36 km west of Košice. West of the church springs from the river Bodva. Neighboring communities of Štós are Smolnícka Huta in the north, Medzev in the east, Hacava in the south, as well as Jasov Smolník in the West.
