Stuart Margolin

Stuart Margolin ( born January 31, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa) is an American actor, director and screenwriter.

Life

Margolin attended South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas and began his career as a screenwriter of off-Broadway productions. Mid-1960s, he was as an actor, first in guest roles in television series such as The Fugitive and Gunsmoke active. From 1969 to 1973 he played Rumor in the sitcom, where he led in 1973 the first time director.

In 1971 he played in the Western series Nichols for the first time on the side of James Garner, this was however discontinued after only one season. He became internationally known through his excellent with two Emmy Awards presentation of Angel Martin in the series The Rockford Files, he played 1974-1980, and again Garner starred in the lead role. He was in the five decades of his career, guest star in various series, from Bewitched on MASH, Magnum and 30 Rock. Between 1994 and 1999 he repeated the role of Angel Martin in eight television movie sequels of the series The Rockford Files on the side of James Garner. From 2002 to 2004 he had a recurring role in the Canadian series, Tom Stone.
