Summer Ross

Summer Noel Ross (born 20 December 1992 Carlsbad ) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player.

Career Indoor Volleyball

Ross began in 2005 with the volleyball. My first club was Encinitas WAVE. 2008 played the Außenangreiferin for Laguna Beach, before moving to Coast VBC 2009. In 2011 she was active during her studies at the University of Washington in the University of team, " Huskies ". However, in early 2012, she transferred to Pepperdine University, in order to concentrate on volleyball.

Career beach volleyball

Ross' career in beach volleyball began in 2008 when she took up with Jane Croson as the youngest team at the Junior World Championships in Brighton, finishing in ninth place. The following year she was with Croson at the Youth World Championships in Alanya, as well as fifth with Jazmin Machado in global youth tournament in Blackpool. Simultaneously, she also played already on the AVP Tour. 2010 Ross won only with Croson the World Junior Championships in Porto and was then with Tara Roenicke World Champion Junior. So she managed a historical record because they decided the first player both competitions within a year of its own. In 2011 she participated in the Quebec Open for the first time in a tournament of the FIVB World Tour. As the former Olympian Nicole Branagh 2012, a partner for the Grand Slam in Berlin sought, Ross also saw the first competition of this nature. With Sara Hughes she reached the fourth place the Junior World Championships in Halifax and the 17th at the Bang Saen Open. In 2013 she decided finally for a professional career in the sand. With Brittany Hochevar she made a final appearance at the Continental Tour and then a 17th place in Fuzhou. The Grand Slam in Corrientes she first appeared with Emily Day. At the 2013 World Championships in Stare Jabłonki Ross / Day reached the main round, where they did against the Austrian siblings Schwaiger / Schwaiger.

Family

Ross comes from a volleyball family. Her mother was active as a beach volleyball player and her brother Chase played at Pepperdine University as an outside attacker and in the sand.
