Sunrise Avenue

Sunrise Avenue is a Finnish rock band whose style includes pop-rock and ballads. Their most successful songs are Fairytale Gone Bad and Hollywood Hills.

History

In 1992, Samu Haber and Jan Hohenthal in Espoo a band called Sunrise. In October 2001 the name was changed to Sunrise Avenue was decided at a restaurant in Helsinki. 2002 parted ways by Haber and Hohenthal. Before their first album, they were able to establish themselves in their home as a club live band. After being rejected by numerous producers, they decided in late 2004 with producer Jukka Backlund (at the time still at Killer Aspect ) to record an album without the band had a record deal. On 20 October 2006 Sunrise Avenue Gold reached in Finland with her debut album On the Way to Wonderland. On 22 May 2009 the second album Popgasm appeared; the first single, titled The Whole Story was released on March 20, 2009 in Finland. On May 2, the publication followed in Germany. On 4 September 2009 the second single Not Again appeared. On November 20, the third single Welcome to my Life appeared. In addition, the band went on tour in the fall, followed in the spring of 2010, yet a purely acoustic second tour. On 2 June 2010 the acoustic album Acoustic Tour was released in 2010. CD as the album was, however, only available in Finland. In German-speaking countries for the time being was only a digital release before then the CD was also released in Germany on November 26, 2010.
