SZD-35 Bekas

The SZD- 35 " Bekas " is a training glider the Polish manufacturer SZD Bielsko.

History

The two-seater training glider SZD- 35 " Bekas " was created pursuant to a contract between the GDR and the People's Republic of Poland as a successor for the returning from the basic model forth the 1950s SZD- 9bis1E " Bocian " which is the standard trainer of the Society for Sport and Technology (GST ) was. The aircraft was an evolution of Bocian and looked very similar to this. The biggest visual change was the flatter hull and streamlined cab windows. The aircraft, however, disappointed. The further development path led to GFP- plane and in the People's Republic of Poland to the SZD -50 " Puchacz ", the last standard school sailors in the GST of the GDR.
