Tamás Lőrincz

Tamás Lőrincz ( born December 20, 1986 in Cegléd ) is a Hungarian wrestler. It was in 2006 and 2013 European champion and won at the Olympic Spielen2012 a silver medal in Greco-Roman wrestling each in lightweight

Career

Tamás Lőrincz began in 1994 with the rings. He belongs to the sports club Ceglédi VSE and is coached by Ferenc Papp. The student is struggling with a size of 1.70 meters in the lightweight, the weight category to 66 kg body weight, he must work off approximately 8 kg before each Championship. It focuses entirely on the Greco-Roman style and is very well known in Germany Ringer circles because he wrestles for the SC Anger for years. In the season 2010/11 he will go for the first Luckenwalder SC to the mat.

In 2002, the international career of Ringer Tamás Lőrincz began with participation in the European Junior Championship ( Cadets ) in Odessa in the weight class up to 46 kg. He finished there the 7th Place. At the Junior Championship ( Cadets ) in 2003 in Rostov-on- Don, he improved in the weight class up to 50 kg on the 4th Place. At the Junior World Championships 2005 in Vilnius he only reached the 10th place in the lightweight.

In 2006 he started for the first time at an international championship in the seniors. Here at the European Championships in Moscow he had a bang, because he was there with five wins European champion at lightweight. On the way to this success he defeated among others the multiple world champion Şeref Eroğlu from Turkey with 10:8 techn. Points and defeated in the final the Russians Sergei Kovalenko 2-1 rounds and 6-3 points. The European Junior Championships in 2006 found shortly thereafter held in Szombathely. As a Hungarian, he had of course there go to the start, even though he had the hardships ( detraining ) EM of Moscow not quite overcome. However, he still managed to occupy the 3rd place and thus to win a medal in Szombathely behind Wladimit Lohoyda from Ukraine and Alexandet Tschetschirkin from Russia.

2006 Tamás Lőrincz was then also at the Junior World Championship in Guatemala City at the start and also won there in lightweight behind Refik Ayvazoglu from Turkey and Kim Hyeon -woo of South Korea a medal. In the 2006 World Cup in Guangzhou / China, he triumphed over Moises Sanchez Parra from Spain and the former world champion Jimmy Samuelsson from Sweden, but was beaten in the second round Şeref Eroğlu, which he landed on the 10th Place.

In 2007 Tamás Lőrincz participated only in the World Championships in Baku. He was there to do a heavy schedule. First, he got the better of Tomas Sobecky, Czech Republic, Yazgeldy Kadyrov, Turkmenistan and Ali Mohammadi, Iran, then he lost in the quarterfinals against the Olympic champion in 2004 and multiple world champion Fərid Mansurov from Azerbaijan almost on points. In the consolation round he managed a victory over Endrix Arteaga from Mexico. But in the fight for a world championship bronze medal he was defeated by the Americans Justin Lester Harry just on points.

At the 2008 European Championships in Tampere Tamás Lőrincz suffered against Ruslan Belcharojew from Russia in the quarterfinal defeat. Since then this did not reach the final, Lörincz retired, finishing in 8th place. But shortly thereafter, he celebrated at the Golden Grand Prix in Baku a sensational success, because he defeated there in the final Fərid Mansurov and won the tournament. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, he managed a victory over Arman Adikjan from Armenia. But already in his second fight he was defeated by Steeve Guenot from France. Guenot was quite surprise Olympic champion and Tamas Lörincz could therefore continue to wrestle in the consolation round. He separated already in his next fight with a defeat against Alain Milián from Cuba and eventually became eighth.

In 2009, Tamás Lőrincz at the World Championships in Herning / Denmark on the 5th Place. This was mainly due defeats Manuchar Tschadaia from Georgia in the second fight and against Ambako Watschadse, Russia, in the consolation round. But at the European Championships 2010 in Baku he succeeded again a medal win. After a semi-final defeat against Ambako Watschadse he won the battle for the bronze medal Antoni Mamageischwili from Georgia.

At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London Lőrincz thrust forward into the final, where he lost to the South Koreans Kim Hyeon -woo.

In 2013, he continued his successes. In Tbilisi, he was for the second time with victories over Benedict buffer, Austria, Artak Margaryan, France, Yüksel Atakan, Turkey and Adam Kurak, Russia, European Champion. Ironically, at the World Championships at home in Budapest, he was unable to continuing this successful series. He won there though initially Thommesen Marius from Norway and Bjabangard Afshin from Iran, but then lost to Hassan Aliyev of Azerbaijan on points. Since this did not reach the final, he was eliminated and only came on the 10th Place.
