Terry Hollinger

Terry J. Hollinger ( born February 24, 1971 in Regina, Saskatchewan ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent two seasons in the National Hockey League and one in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Terry Hollinger began his career in his hometown of Regina, where he played for various youth teams. From the season 1987/88 he was active in the Western Hockey League for the Regina Pats. In 1990 he moved to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. NHL Entry Draft 1991 St. Louis Blues Hollinger picked in the seventh round to 153 place. However, the defender initially remained in the WHL and completed another season for the Hurricanes.

Before the play-offs in 1992 he made ​​his professional debut with the Peoria Rivermen of the International Hockey League. Then he was over three years to the most important players in the farm team of the St. Louis Blues. During this time, Hollinger was able to complete a total of seven games in the National Hockey League. In August 1995, the Canadians signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres, but played over two seasons only with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. In 1996, he won the Calder Cup and was elected to the All-Star team. In the summer of 1997, Hollinger returned to the organization of the St. Louis Blues and played for the Houston Aeros and the Worcester IceCats. From 1998 to 2001 he was active exclusively in the IHL. In three years he played, due to three transfers, for four different teams.

For the season 2001 /02 Hollinger joined the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Hockey League. He missed the play-offs and was active in the next year for the HC Sierre and the HC Milano Vipers. 2003, the defender returned to North America and played two years for the Quad City Mallards in the United Hockey League. He then ended his career.
