The Left (Luxembourg)

Déi steering ( German Leftists, French La Gauche ) are a socialist party in Luxembourg. The party is a member of the European Left and the European Parliament Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left and with the European Anti -Capitalist Left associated. Since the 2013 parliamentary elections the left are represented by two seats in the Luxembourg Parliament. In the European Parliament they are not represented.

History

The party was founded on 30 January 1999, adopted on 13 June 1999 at the parliamentary elections in part and managed with 4.98% of votes in the southern constituency, which consists of the cantons of Esch-sur- Alzette and chapels, once the move into the Luxembourg Parliament.
