The Story So Far (band)

The Story So Far is a Pop-Punk-/Punk-Rock-Band founded 2007 in Walnut Creek, California, United States.

The group stands at Pure Noise Records and has released with Under Soil and Dirt ( 2011) and What You Do not See (2013 ) two albums. The latter debuted at # 46 in the official U.S. charts. In addition, several EPs and split releases with Maker, Morgan Foster and Stick to Your Guns available to book.

The group toured in 2013 for the first time on the entire Warped Tour, the Slam Dunk Festival and completed a concert tour of Australia, as well as two European tours.

History

Founding and first publications

The group was founded in 2007 in California Walnut Creek Parker Cannon (vocals), Kevin Geyer ( e- guitar, backing vocals), Kevin Ambrose ( electric guitar ), Kelen Capener ( electric bass) and Ryan peat (drums). In the first two years, the group brought with 5 Songs (2007) 2008 and EP ( 2008) two EPs on their own in the market. 2010 was followed by the third EP While You Were Sleeping, which appeared on Pure Noise Records. The group had signed a record deal with the label in March 2010. In addition, a split EP with Maker has been developed. That same year, Kevin Ambrose was replaced by William Levy on the electric guitar. At first concerts of the group 's musicians Macbain Cameron (drums ), were Morgan Foster (bass ) and Ryan Justice (drums) supported as a session musician.

First Album: Under Soil and Dirt and What You Do not See

The year 2011 began for the group with the release of a split release with Morgan Foster. In June 2011, the band's debut album, Under Soil and Dirt was released via Pure Noise Records. A release in Japan took place a few weeks later, in early July.

The first notable tour of the group took place between the 4th and 9th November 2012. This took place in several cities in Europe as part of the Road to Warped Tour and ended a day later in the UK on the Warped Tour. On the Road to Warped tour the group played with New Found Glory, Less Than Jake and Man Overboard. In the British edition of the Warped Tour, the group on the Monster Energy Stage West with Awolnation, Lostprophets, Breathe Carolina, The Used and 3OH! 3 was seen.

The end of November to mid- December 2013 was followed by the conclusion Sticks and Stones Tour led by the United States. The Story So Far were next to Seahaven and Candy Hearts opening for New Found Glory. The year 2013 began for the group with a tour of Australia. Was accompanied by the band Anchors. On March 26, 2013, the second studio album by the group appeared that the name of What You Do not See bears. Also this album was released via Pure Noise Records. For the first time the group succeeded in entering the official U.S. charts, where the album was at number 46,.

The album was released during the Suppy nation tour, which took place between March 8, 2013, and April 13, 2013. Was accompanied these North American concert tour of Tonight Alive, Man Overboard, Citizen and The American Scene. Between 25 and 27 May 2013, the group on the Slam Dunk Festival played in the UK. There, the group performed at the Macbeth Stage, among others, The Early November, Four Year Strong and The Wonder Years. Between June 15, 2013, and August 4, 2013, the group first played the entire Warped Tour in the United States and Canada. The Story So Far played on the Tilly 's Stage with Forever the Sickest Kids, Hawthorne Heights, Story of the Year and The Summer Set. In September 2013 split release with Stick to Your Guns was released.

In January and February 2014, the group played as the opening act for Every Time I Die and A Day to Remember their first extensive European concert tour with stops in the Netherlands and Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy and Austria. In Berlin, the concert was moved at short notice from the C- hall into something smaller Huxley. On February 12, 2014 it was announced that The Story So Far have been re-booked for the Warped Tour.

The U.S. music magazine Alternative Press took The Story So Far on the list of 100 bands, they should know about 2013.
