Theo Helfrich
Theodor " Theo" Helfrich ( born May 13, 1913 in Frankfurt am Main, † April 29, 1978 in Ludwigshafen, Germany) was a German Grand Prix and sports car driver.
He started from 1952 to 1954 at the Grand Prix of Germany at the Nürburgring, but he could not achieve significant results. He won no championship points; his only finish was the twelfth place in 1953.
Successful Helfrich was in a sports car. The first 1000 km race at the Nürburgring in 1953, he took on a Borgward RS together with Karl -Günther Bechem and Adolf Brudes third place behind the more powerful Ferrari and Jaguar Ascari / Farina and Stewart / Salvadori. In 1954, he won on the highway spider Dresden in Formula 3 on a Cooper T31 Norton.
