Tobias Steinhauser

Tobias Steinhauser ( born January 27, 1972 in Lindenberg im Allgäu ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

Sports career

In 1994, Tobias Steinhauser German amateur champions in the team time trial, together with Michael Rich, Uwe Peschel and Andreas Lebsanft; In the same year he won the Tour of Slovenia and became German Vice Champion in the road race. In 1995 he finished the Giro delle Regioni as the winner.

1996 wrote Steinhauser his first professional contract with Refin - Mobilvetta. In 2000, he finished at the Road World Championships finished fifth in the road race. Until 2005, he went to different teams, most recently from 2003 together with Jan Ullrich. Three times he competed in the Tour de France.

Family and career

Tobias Steinhauser is the sibling of Jan Ullrich, who is married to his sister Sara. After his professional career he has worked among others in the production and sales of Jan Ullrich racing wheels.
