Tomáš Surový

Tomáš Surový (born 24 September 1981 Banská Bystrica, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player who plays for HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since June 2013.

Career

After his youth, for the SK Iskra Banská Bystrica played the 1.83 m tall center in the Slovak Extraliga. NHL Entry Draft 2001, the Slovak Rookie of the Year in 2000 /01 is selected as 120 in the fourth round by the Pittsburgh Penguins ( drafted ).

First, the left gunner at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL farm team of the franchises from Pennsylvania, was used. His first NHL bets graduated Surový in the season 2002/03 season, after four seasons with the Penguins, he finally moved to Luleå HF. In the season 2006/ 07 he was the leading scorer with 55 points of the team.

In summer 2007, he signed a contract initially at the Phoenix Coyotes, but then remained in Sweden Linköpings HC. In the 2009/10 season he played for Skellefteå AIK, before he moved to Dinamo Rigain the Kontinental Hockey League in 2010. After one year for Dinamo, he moved along with his head coach as Julius Šupler to HK CSKA Moscow.

As of May 2012, he stood by the HC Lev Prague under contract and completed for the KHL rookie total of 55 games before he was obliged by HK Dinamo Minsk in June 2013.

Internationally

For the Slovak national ice hockey team Tomáš Surový contested the World Championships in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013, he also stood in the 2006 Olympics in Turin on the ice. Previously, he had already gone through the Slovakian junior national teams.
