The Tomei Expressway (Japanese东 名 高速 道路, Tomei Kōsokudōro ) is the main east-west highway in Japan and crosses the main Japanese island of Honshu Setagaya to Komaki and meets here on the Meishin highway. The name Tomei is composed of the notations of the city of Tokyo (东京) and Nagoya (名古屋). It was opened in 1968-1969.

The 346.8 km long highway is from the central Japanese motorway operator company Naka- Nihon Kōsokudōro KK (English Central Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd.. , NEXCO ) and is operated as a "national mainline " ( Kokkandō, short for国土 开 発 干线 自动 车道, Kokudo Kaihatsu Opportunities and Combating jidōshadō ) classified.

Parallel about 10 km inland, the Shin- Tomei highway runs ( " new Tomei Expressway ").
