Tore Lokoloko

Sir gates Lokoloko, GCMG, GCVO, OBE ( born September 21, 1930 in Iokea, Gulf Province, Papua New Guinea, † March 13, 2013 in Port Moresby ) was a politician of New Guinea papua.

Biography

The son of the High Chief ( Paramount Chief ) Lokoloko Gates visited, which was founded in 1940 by Australia Sogeri High School. His political career began in 1968 to 1972 with the election of a member of the meeting house ( House of Assembly ) in Indian-administered Trust Territory of Australia.

On March 1, he was appointed as successor to Sir John Guise Governor-General of Papua New Guinea. His tenure was the 1977 state visit by Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of its silver jubilee. He was appointed Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George. In addition, Elizabeth II appointed him a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. On March 1, 1983 it Kingsford Dibela followed as Governor General.

Sir gates Lokoloko then became CEO of Bank Indosuez Niugine and remained until 1989 in this office.
