Traboch [ travɔx ] is a municipality in the district of Leoben in Styria Liesingtal with 1380 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

Waters

Most important bodies of water in Traboch is the Liesing that coming on the territory of the municipality is flowing from the west in an arc to the south and the location leaves again after about 5.1 km. More watercourse is some 4.6 km long shear Veit Bach, which rises in the former municipality of Gai, now of Trofaiach in Veit shear Forest and north of the municipal territory Trabocher only flows through the artificially dammed lake Trabocher. After entering the Liesingtal of Veit Bach shear flows between Stadlhof and Madstein in the Liesing.

History

The first-time documentary mention of the place name Traboch as Trevoch dates from 1150.

The place is repeatedly hit by severe floods.

Economy and infrastructure

The community Traboch is measured by its size with about 110 operating facilities and about 850 jobs a strong business location. As a sign of this, the community was given the award by the Styrian Chamber of Commerce Award Golden base twice - Business Friendliest City of Styria.

Traboch is located on the Schoberpass range of Rudolf web.
