Trapped in Paradise ( Trapped in Paradise ) is an American adventure comedy from 1994.

Action

Bill Firpo manages a restaurant and tries to lead a decent life. His brothers, the kleptomaniac Alvin and the petty crooks Dave, however, are involved in various criminal activities. Alvin and Dave to be released from prison on parole. They bring Bill by a trick to believe that he was being persecuted by the police. Finally, he is persuaded even the invasion of a bank in the small town of Paradise (Pennsylvania) to participate.

The brothers flee, first with the money, but have a car accident and will be invited to the return of a local residents to participate in the Christmas. The host turns out to be a son of the owner of the robbed bank.

Bill falls in love during the Christmas holidays in one of the employees of the Bank, Sarah Collins. In the meantime, Bill, Alvin and Dave discover their conscience and give the money back anonymously. Finally, when Sarah's father, a felon, who was sitting in the same prison as Alvin and Dave, break out of this and the mother of the three brothers kidnapped in order to get to the stolen money, the situation becomes critical.

Reviews

James Berardinelli called the film on ReelViews as "one of the worst films of the year". His action was a " sloppy " and " ineffective " mix of " misslungenem slapstick ", " humorless jokes " and " stiffened characters " that would act in " predictable situations ."

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times of 2 December 1994, it would be clear after the second scene, the film was in trouble. The car crash would not help him; Ebert asked three times why this should be funny. The critics suggested at the end of another movie.

The lexicon of international film ruled: " An old-fashioned comedy, the story does have some charm, but remains largely ineffective by the loveless staging and listless game."

Background

The film was shot in various locations in Ontario, including Toronto. He played in the cinemas of the United States an approximately 5.8 million U.S. dollars.
