Trubschachen
Trubschachen is a municipality in the administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. Until 1867, the community was called officially Lauperswil district.
Geography
Trubschachen is located south- west of the Napfbergland the headwaters of the Ilfis at the confluence of Ilfis and Trueb at an altitude of 731 m above sea level. M. at the transition from Emmental to Entlebuch. Neighboring municipalities are Eggiwil, Langnau im Emmental and lees.
Economy
Internationally known Trubschachen is through the biscuit factory Kambly and rope making Jacob.
Traffic
Trubschachen is on the railway line Luzern- Bern.
Attractions
In Trubschachen are The Travelers by the Chur sculptor Robert Indermaur ( b. 1947) Woman statue at the station, as well as llamas in the upper Folz. Reputedly the oldest bear is in Trubschachen, the Gasthof zum Baren is first mentioned in 1356.
