Turnersee

The Turnersee ( Slow: Zablaško Jezero ) is a lake in the municipality of St. Kanzian in the southeast of Carinthia.

Description

The lake is like the Gösselsdorfer on the Rückersdorfer plate. He is the remnant of a glacial lake of about 9 km ². In addition to Lake Turner today 44 ha area of this lake is only the Sablatnigteich get an open water surface.

Designation

The original name is Sablatnigsee. The term Turnersee prevailed until the 20th century, after the sunny side ÖTB had built a youth camp.
