Tyler John Simpson ( born August 28, 1985 in Sydney, † May 26, 2011 ) was an Australian football player. The defender played between 2005 and 2008 for Queensland Roar and Perth Glory in the Australian A-League professional league and was at the time of his death at Blacktown City under contract. His twin brother Jordan Simpson is also a professional footballer.

Career

Simpson played in 2003/ 04 for Northern Spirit in the Youth League of the National Soccer League and was then a guest in Armenia with Dinamo- Zenit Yerevan. After his return to Australia he played with the Northern Tigers in the New South Wales Winter Super League, the second division of the State of New South Wales and in the 2004/05 season with the St. George Saints in the NSW Premier League. In 2005 he signed, as well as his brother Jordan, a professional contract with A- League club Queensland Roar and completed four inserts in the top division of Australia. In February 2006, he was invited for a scholarship course the Olympic selection to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra and took two months later with the selection, as well as his twin brother, the " Spring Cup " in Vietnam in part. Both, however, were on the 2005/06 season also no contract with Roar.

In August 2006, Simpson signed as a replacement for the injured Bobby Despotovski a one-month short-term contract with Perth Glory and came to a league use. Then he played some time at Sydney Olympic before he was again obliged to Perth as a replacement for the injured David Tarka, his brother was in the 2007 /08 also in Perth under contract. Simpson took his life in May 2011. The Australian Olympic team (U -23) was in the friendly match on June 1st, 2011 against Japan in his honor crape.
