Umut Gündoğan (2014)

Umut Gündoğan ( born June 12, 1990 in Brussels ) is a Belgian- Turkish football player who currently plays for Galatasaray.

Career

Gündoğan came as the son of Turkish immigrants in Brussels at the world and began here in the youth of RSC Anderlecht playing football. In the spring of 2007 he moved to the youth from the Dutch club MVV Maastricht. Here he fell to the, mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands make, Turkish-born coach Fuat Çapa on.

Çapa himself took over in the summer of 2007 the Turkish Erstligisiten Gençlerbirliği Ankara and effect as one of its first acts the change Gündoğans to Gençlerbirliği. After Çapa was released after five games, Gündoğan thus lost its sponsor. He played in the following one and a half year exclusively for the reserve team. The second half of the season 2008/ 09 he was loaned to third division Fethiyespor and completed until the end of season four games for this team.

In the summer of 2009 he dissolved by mutual agreement with Gençlerbirliği his contract and left Turkey. For the upcoming season, he joined the Dutch league to RBC Roosendaal, the new place of his patron Çapa. For Roosendaal he played one season and left the club after also Çapa had taken the first division Kasımpaşa Istanbul in Turkey.

Gündoğan himself hired for the season at the Belgian second division side FC Brussels and played here for two years.

For the 2012/13 season named to the Turkish TFF 1 Lig was announced to Bucaspor.

On January 17, 2014 Gündoğan moved for a transfer fee of 1.6 million Turkish Lira for Turkish giants Galatasaray.
