Unterberg is one of the 15 municipalities in the district Tamsweg (Lungau ), Salzburg in Austria with 1000 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).
Community structure
The municipality comprises the two villages (in brackets population as of 31 October 2011):
- Unterberg ( 698 )
- Voidersdorf (301 )
The municipality comprises the cadastral Unterberg and Voidersdorf.
Coat of arms
The coat of arms of the municipality is: " In a black shield, a narrow silver wave beams, accompanied above by a golden crown, the right and left of it ever a golden ball, down from the crossed golden mallet and iron, both of the above including a Golden Globe. "
Policy
Municipal council
The municipal council of Unterberg has 13 members and is composed as follows for the local council elections in 2014 together:

Directly elected mayor is Joseph Wind (ÖVP ).
Culture and sights
- Castle Moosham 1191 first mentioned. Moosham Castle is the third largest castle in Salzburg, and is still family-owned. The castle is open to the public and offers a collated by the castle's extensive art collection, with Roman finds from the area, and well-preserved records and instruments of torture from the time of the witch trials.
- Parish Church of Saint Ulrich: Originally a baroque building, extended in 1978/79 by the architect Heinz Tesar with a modern annex.
- Samson: The Samson, one taking place in the summer very old custom in the Lungau region, in which a giant figure, the giant Samson, is carried around.
