Upper Baddibu
Upper Baddibu is one of 35 districts - the second highest level of administrative divisions - the West African nation of Gambia. It is one of six districts in the North Bank Region.
According to a calculation by 2013 there live about 51.379 inhabitants, the result of the last published census of 2003 was 55,370.
The name is derived from Baddibu, a former small kingdom.

Population
According to a survey of 1993 ( former census ), the largest population group, the Mandinka with a share of around four -tenths, followed by the Wolof and the Fula. The distribution in detail: 43% of Mandinka, Fula 15.9%, 36.7 % Wolof, Jola 0.5 %, 0.4% Serahule, 0.5% Serer, Aku 0.1 %, 1% Manjago, 1, 3% Bambara and 0.6% other ethnicities.
