Ursina Haller

Ursina Haller ( born December 29, 1985 in Zernez, Canton Graubünden) is a Swiss snowboarder.

Career

Ursina Haller spent her childhood in Davos, later they moved to their birthplace Zernez, it starts for the local ski club Sarsura Zernez. On January 23, 2004, she was at the age of 14 years in Kreischberg her World Cup debut, and came into the halfpipe to 14th place. A week later, it reached the Snowboard European Cup with a third place in Berchtesgaden first time the podium. In March of the same year she was in Zermatt third in the Swiss Championships in the halfpipe. On February 19, 2005, she reached in Klínovec in the halfpipe European Cup second place and the next day she won the same place their first European Cup competition. At the Junior World Championships 2005 in Zermatt, it was in the half-pipe 11 and won Big Air gold medal. In this discipline, she began her career only twice at the Junior World Championships. Since then, it took only part in halfpipe competitions.

In addition to the FIS World Cup Haller runs since 2006 also in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour where she participated in halfpipe and slopestyle competitions. 2007 Haller won at the Swiss Championships in Zermatt silver medal in the halfpipe. On 5 February 2008 Haller won the Slopestyle competition, " Crans -Montana Champs Open " on the TTR Tour.

In October 2009, she came in the European Cup in Saas -Fee to third place. On 4 January 2010 she won the TTR competition, " O'Neill Evolution " in Davos and it was on January 9, 2010 Second to the " Burton European Open Snowboarding Championships » Laax. After these successes, she was finally nominated for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where they reached 9th place in the halfpipe. In January 2011 she succeeded her biggest success to date by winning the silver medal at the World Championships in La Molina.
