Urška Rabič

Urška Rabič ( born March 20, 1985 in Mojstrana ) is a former Slovenian alpine skier. Your strongest disciplines were the downhill and super- G and super combined. The six-time champion Slovenian launched from 2004 to 2008 in the World Cup three times and drove it into the top 20 from 2005 to 2007, she also participated in the World Championships and Olympic Games, where she also came in three competitions in the top 20.

Career

For the first time international attention made ​​Rabič 1998 with the victory in the giant slalom at the Whistler Cup. From the 2000/2001 season she participated in FIS races, and two years later her get there first victories. From 2002 to 2005 Rabič participated in the Junior World Championships. However, they saw their nine starts only three times the goal: After a 19th place in the downhill in 2003 she scored 2004 rank seventh in the downhill and 2005 to sixth place in the Super -G. From 2005 Rabič also took part in world championships and Olympic Games. At the 2005 World Championships in Santa Caterina, she was 24th in the downhill and super-G 32. In the team competition, she finished with the Slovenian team in ninth and last place. Your single result at the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin was the 18th place in the Super -G. In the 2007/2008 season Rabičs results deteriorated compared to the previous year and they could not score in the World Cup. Due to lack of support by the Slovenian Ski Federation, she finished her career in 2008.
