Vale Royal
Vale Royal was a District with the status of a borough in the county of Cheshire in England. Administrative headquarters was the town of Winsford. Other important towns were Frodsham, Helsby and Northwich.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts Northwich and Winsford, the Rural District Northwich Rural District and part of Runcorn. On 1 April 2009 it was disbanded due to a territorial and administrative reform, and went on in the new unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester.
