Verkhoyansky District

The Werchojanski ulus (Russian Верхоянский улус, also Верхоянский район, rajon Werchojanski; Yakut Үөһээ Дьааҥы улууһа, Üöhee Džaangy uluuha ) is one of the 34 Ulusse ( Rajons ) of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia ) in the north of the Russian Far East Federal District. It lies on the Arctic Circle and just northeast of the center of the country inland, south of the Ust- Janski ulus.

Geography
