Věžky (Přerov District)

Věžky ( German Weschek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Přerov and belongs to Okres Přerov.

Geography

Věžky is located on the right bank of the creek Svodnice in the Upper Moravian Valley ( Hornomoravský úval ). In the north- east, the railway line runs Přerov - Vyškov, the station Věžky located half a kilometer outside the village. To the east stretches the forest area Bochořský les. To the north lies the military airfield Přerov - Bochoř.

Neighboring towns are Bochoř in the north, Lověšice, Záhatí and Horni Moštěnice in the northeast, Dobrčice in the east, Přestavlky, Stara Ves and Říkovice the southeast, Vlkoš and Kanovsko in the south, Záříčí and Včelínek the southwest, Plučisko and U Hrabeci lávky in the west and Troubky, Zábečvisko and Včelíny in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Věžky took place in 1349 when the brothers Gunter ( Vintíř ) and Friedrich von Linau ( Friduš Linavy z ) together with her sister Elisabeth ( Alžběta ) their half of the village with the farm and half the forest and all other possessions overwritten in Bochoř, Běškovice and Podolí to their grandchildren and nephews. For its owners, Cyril was one of Kokory, who sold half Huben 1373 to Mr and Mrs Zbynek and Kateřina of Kokory and a half Hube at Mukař of Kokory. 1381 wrote Friduš of Drahotuše his wife Anna, a dowry of 250 Scherf from the proceeds of Věžky and Vlkoš. In 1539, sold January Kuna of Kunštát the estate on behalf of his sisters Magdalena Sybille and Veit of Dobrzicz ( Vít z Dobrčic ), who joined it to his rule Dobrčice. In hooves register of 1656 are reported for Věžky 17 economies, two of which were deserted as a result of the Thirty Years' War. In Teresian cadastre of 1749 235 bushel boxes, 12 bushels of pasture and nearly five bushels of garden land are listed for the village. 1794 was the village of 26 houses and had 189 inhabitants. 1834 Věžky had grown to 36 houses in which 239 people survived. Until the mid- 19th century the village was always associated with Dobrčice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vešky / Weschek formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Kremsier. Since 1880, the church belongs to the district Prerau and then led the name Věžky. From 1890 took the place name Věžky use, which was superseded by the 1924 name form Věžky. The community consisted in 1900 of 44 houses and had 327 Czech -speaking inhabitants. In the census of 1921 living in 290 Věžky Czechs and the number of houses was compared with 1900 increased by one. 1961 Věžky was incorporated into Bochoř. 1980 were living in the 73 houses of the village 246 people, the Katastralfläche was 256 ha with effect from November 24, 1990 is Věžky again a separate municipality. In 1997 the village was flooded with a flood of Svodnice and destroyed seven houses.

Coat of arms

Věžky leads a coat of arms and banners. The sun was the emblem of the former owner of Markéta Sezemice borrowed, the three crossed morning stars are taken from the coat of arms of Rzikowsky Dobrzicz.
