Viktor Klimenko (singer)

Viktor Klimenko (* November 24, 1942 in Pyhäniemi, Karelia ) is a Finnish singer and actor.

Born in the Soviet Union, his family was resettled in the Second World War in Finland. His singing career began in 1963. 1964 he had a first small success with a Finnish version of Dean Martin's Everybody Loves Somebody as a single. He was chosen to represent Finland at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1965 in Naples. But his ballad Aurinko laskee länteen received no points and ended up in last place. He played several years of theater and began his career as a television actor. In the 1970s, he was known by his Russian-language singles and LPs and made ​​appearances throughout Europe.
