Walloon Brabant

Walloon Brabant ( Brabant Wallon French, Dutch Waals-Brabant / i, Walloon: Braibant walon ) is a province in the Belgian region of Wallonia. Its capital is Wavre.

Walloon Brabant was formed as part of the federalization of Belgium in the French-speaking southern part of the province of Brabant.

The province consists of only one district (Fr. arrondissement ): The Arrondissement of Nivelles is thus congruent with the area of ​​the province. By area, Walloon Brabant is the smallest in terms of population, the second smallest province in Belgium. Only the province of Luxembourg has fewer inhabitants.
