Name

Etymology

It has its name from the eponymous Because Because Bach Bach flowing to the Mud in the municipality.

History

Because Bach was first mentioned in the year 1201. The Knight Cunrat of Wilen Bach was a witness in a land cause the house Dürn, he was subservient. The Lords of Dürn were Hohenstaufen ministeriales and 1171 - 1272 protective stewards of the monastery Amorbach.

Culture and sights, monuments

The church, the historic city center with the three-tube wells. From the Gotthard ruin which stands on Amorbacher district in half, one has a panoramic view of the Odenwald, up to the Spessart.

Gotthard Ruin

The Gotthard ruin, a Gothic pier basilica, stands on a hilltop at the nearby Gotthard mountain. From here you have a magnificent view in Seven Valleys and the surrounding mountains. The " Gotthard ", once Frankenberg, has a colorful history. He was at times of robber barons and later nunnery.

Three tube wells

The three tube wells located in the center of Weil Bach, directly at a crossroads. He has a big sand stone trough with a baroque relief. The water gushes out of three tubes. Carillon

Freeman

Paul Breunig (* January 6, 1926; † 24 August 2006) occurred in 1946 in the market Because Bach as a ward clerk. From 1956 to 1985 he was mayor of the municipality Because Bach. Weckbach
