At Schneeberg an exclave heard in the woods southeast of Reichartshausen, which is itself an exclave of the city Amorbach.

History

At the time of the first clearing and settlement of Mars Bach, Morre and Muththales in the eighth or ninth century Schneeberg was still called Sneiteberc. The first mention of snow mountain was in 1237, whereby the former ownership were documented.

Schneeberg belonged to the Grand Duchy of Hesse -Darmstadt. Since the Munich agreement of 1816 the place belonged to Bavaria. The place of Mainz was awarded in the kingdom in 1803 the Prince of Leiningen, 1806 mediated by Baden and 1810 ceded to Hesse -Darmstadt. Etymology
