Westjet Airlines is a Canadian low-cost carrier based in Calgary ( Alberta. ).
History
In June 1995, WestJet was founded as a low cost airline for the Western Canada by Clive Beddoe, Mark Hill, Tim Morgan and Donald Bell. The concept of the airline was heavily based on the successful concept of Southwest Airlines.
