Wiesengrund

Meadow land ( Lower Łukojce ) is a municipality in the district of Spree- Neisse and is located in the south-eastern part of Brandenburg. It belongs to the Office Döbern country that has its headquarters in the city Döbern.

The district Mattendorf ( Matyjojce ) is one of the official Sorbian settlement area.

Geography

The community of meadow land on the west by the county-level city of Cottbus and the municipality Neuhausen / Spree in the south on the communities Hornow - Wadelsdorf and Felixsee, on the east by the municipalities Neisse Malxetal and Great Schacksdorf - Simmersdorf and in the north to the county town of Forst ( Lausitz) and the community pond country. The municipal area is a residual hole of the lignite mining industry is flooded. It is to be built by 2020, the Klinger Lake.

History

The municipality was created as part of the Brandenburg municipal reforms through voluntary association of 31 December 2001. Districts are Gahry ( Lower Gari ), Gosda I ( Gozdz ) with parts of the municipality Dubrau ( Dubrava ) and blade ( Klinka ) Jethe ( jaty ) with the community part Smarso ( Smaržow ) and Mattendorf ( Matyjojce ) and Trebendorf ( Trjebejce ).

Religions

The old villages Gahry, Trebendorf and Mattendorf have been the parish to the Protestant diocese Komptendorf already before 1906, because they have no church of their own, while blade had its own church, which was sacrificed in GDR times the lignite mining. Now go Klinger, Gosdaer and Dubrauer in the half-timbered church in the hamlet of Dubrau.

As the first mayor of meadow land, the last mayor ( 1995-2001 ) of the formerly independent municipality Mattendorf, Egbert S. Piosik in 2002, elected ( re-elected 2003 and 2008). Egbert S. Piosik has also been elected to the council of the district of Spree- Neisse on 28 September 2008, and there leader of the group Free citizens.

Parks

The old Park ( the burial place of the former owner of the castle Trebendorfer ) between Trebendorf, Mattendorf Gahry and establishes the connection between the manor and castle in Gahry Trebendorf.

Others

In the district Mattendorf a weather station exists. The association Weather East began in 2006 with the establishment of a " weather trail " of interested, but especially children and young people, aims to bring the emergence of the weather (eg lightning machine, wind machine but also energy with a new wind turbine ). On 5 May 2007, the prototype of a novel ( transverse ) wind turbine was inaugurated in the presence of Minister Dr. Dietmar Woidke. This stands on the edge of Muskau arc over Mattendorf.
