Wilkowiczki, Silesian Voivodeship

Wilkowiczki ( German: Small Wilkowitz ) is a town in Upper Silesia in the Toszek ( Tost ) in the powiat Gliwice in Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical Location

Wilkowiczki is located four kilometers east of the parish seat Toszek, 19 kilometers northwest of the county town of Gliwice ( Gleiwitz ) and 38 kilometers northwest of the voivodship Katowice.

History

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 that 86 voters to remain in Germany and 76 for Poland. Small Wilkowitz remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 372 inhabitants in the village. On 12 February 1936, the town was renamed in Wölfingen. 1939, the place had 361 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Tost - Gleiwitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Wilkowiczki and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Katowice Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Gliwice and the new Silesian Voivodeship.
